Subaru Service Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Subaru Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
- Inspect and perform testing on new vehicles, record findings so that necessary repairs can be made;
- Provide estimate of time needed for additional recommended repairs;
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed;
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
Requirements:
- Strong automotive background is preferred;
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications;
- Good knowledge of automobiles Effective analytical and communication skills;
- S Must be able to handle interruptions and perform simultaneous tasks �in stride�
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information;
- Factory trained Subaru experience or experience on import vehicles (preferred);
- Ensures that guest�s cars are kept clean;
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization;
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- A fast learner Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent Guest Service Skills Team Player and focused on maintaining�a high level guest service;
- Housekeeping and abide by safety rules of the shop;
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry;
- Must have at least 3�years of experience as an auto technician.
