Transmission Rebuilder Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Transmission Rebuilder to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur;
- Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other teammates and customers as required;
- Diagnose, rebuild and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications- knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus;
- Assist other technicians in performing technical activities;
- Maintains an organized service department;
- Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems;
- Maintains an organized detail of inventory and supplies to complete rebuild of units;
- Deadline and detail-oriented;
- Rebuild and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications- knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus.
Requirements:
- Own professional grade tools;
- Ability to communicate solutions to others;
- Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment;
- Experience with mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience specific to transmission rebuilding;
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working as a Automotive Transmission Rebuilder;
- Hold a valid driver’s license;
- ASE Certification a plus;
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as an Automotive Transmission Rebuilder;
- ASE certifications a plus, not required;
- Must be able to build CVT Transmissions.
