Our company is looking for a Volkswagen Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical concerns;
- Communicating effectively with Service management and advisors;
- Performing vehicle inspections;
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
- Performing work per RO to factory and dealership standards;
- Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning;
- Perform routine maintenance;
- Recommending services necessary for the vehicle’s age and condition;
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
- Document work performed.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information;
- Own Tools;
- ASE Certifications;
- VW Certification preferred, but will train an experienced import or ASE Certified technician to become VW Certified;
- Knowledge of automobiles;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Strong automotive background;
- Must have clean & valid driver’s license;
- Math, reading, and computer skills;
- Nissan experience is preferred;
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance;
- NYS inspector license;
- Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner;
- Ability to identify problems quickly.
