Our company is looking for a Associate Corporate Counsel to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with other business support groups to assist in educating business clients on contractual issues;
  • Handles other matters within P&C Legal as needed;
  • Monitors legal and regulatory issues and identifies and assesses trends and emerging risks;
  • Collaboratively works with other members of the Legal team to achieve optimal results for our business clients;
  • Counsels business and corporate services operations on regulatory matters associated with contracts;
  • Engages in issue spotting, risk assessment, and problem solving on a daily basis;
  • Develops relationships throughout the Company so that legal advice is tailored to the unique needs of each of our specialty insurance divisions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a practicing corporate attorney with strong experience in commercial contracts and general corporate work;
  • Interest in working in a non-salaried contract position;
  • Spanish language skills preferred;
  • Partners with other business support groups to assist in educating business clients on contractual issues;
  • Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department;
  • Compensations is commensurate with experience;
  • Handles other matters within P&C Legal as needed;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization;
  • Experience working with software and IT-related agreements preferred, but not required;
  • Collaboratively works with other members of the Legal team to achieve optimal results for our business clients;
  • Develops relationships throughout the Company so that legal advice is tailored to the unique needs of each of our specialty insurance divisions;
  • Counsels business and corporate services operations on regulatory matters associated with contracts;
  • Experience working in a regulated industry preferred, but not required;
  • Engages in issue spotting, risk assessment, and problem solving on a daily basis;
  • A JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice law.
