Our company is looking for a Immigration Paralegal to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with work visa applications, working closely with US consular offices abroad;
  • Preparing business based non immigration applications (H-1B, H-3, TN, E, J-1, L-1 and O-1);
  • Responding to RFE’s and other compliance related documents;
  • Drafting petition support letters;
  • Assisting with special projects as necessary;
  • Understand the procedures and documentation required for cases to be filed successfully and following BAL’s service standards;
  • Finalize documents after review by Practice Manager, Team Manager and/or Attorney;
  • Create mailing labels for packages and track delivery;
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, and consultants on different legal matters;
  • Monitor the status of all filed applications and petitions;
  • Evaluate cases and assist in providing case strategies and/or solutions to issues;
  • Engage in frequent contact with company client(s);
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Files and monitors applications and petitions with appropriate government agencies;
  • Responsible for working with attorneys in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of various immigration and nationality law matters.

Requirements:

  • Excellent listening skills;
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and adapt to change and to workload fluctuations in a fast paced environment;
  • Good research skills;
  • Paralegal experience ranging from entry level to experienced will be considered;
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel and/or stand to access files and documents;
  • Able to maintain a sedentary position for up to 90% of the work day;
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Advanced degree or Paralegal certificate a plus;
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without need for sponsorship now or at any time;
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to excel within an extremely high volume environment;
  • Ability to make sound judgment calls;
  • Able to walk and climb stairs or use elevator to coordinate with other departments;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a paralegal in a law firm or state/regulatory agencies;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals;
  • Punctual and reliable.
