Our company is looking for a Litigation Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with clients and all levels of employees within the Firm;
  • Opening new matters, client billing, calendaring, inputting timesheets and file maintenance;
  • Creating and updating pleadings and motions for filing in State and Federal court and discovery documents for service;
  • Preparing expense reports and scheduling travel, meetings and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Collections and/or litigation experience;
  • Previous administrative experience in a law firm or other financial or banking institution;
  • Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/ or in writing;
  • Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times;
  • Be able to lift 5 pounds or greater;
  • Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed;
  • Be able to travel occasionally when needed by the most efficient means of transportation;
  • Be able to complete a minimum of a 40 hour flexible workweek schedule;
  • Good follow up;
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Very well organized;
  • Be able to operate a computer, phone and/or equivalent devices;
  • Minimum of 3 years litigation experience working in a legal and/or professional services environment;
  • Be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or equivalent devices.
