Litigation Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Litigation Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Interacting with clients and all levels of employees within the Firm;
- Opening new matters, client billing, calendaring, inputting timesheets and file maintenance;
- Creating and updating pleadings and motions for filing in State and Federal court and discovery documents for service;
- Preparing expense reports and scheduling travel, meetings and conferences.
Requirements:
- Collections and/or litigation experience;
- Previous administrative experience in a law firm or other financial or banking institution;
- Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/ or in writing;
- Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times;
- Be able to lift 5 pounds or greater;
- Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed;
- Be able to travel occasionally when needed by the most efficient means of transportation;
- Be able to complete a minimum of a 40 hour flexible workweek schedule;
- Good follow up;
- At least 2 years of litigation experience;
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Very well organized;
- Be able to operate a computer, phone and/or equivalent devices;
- Minimum of 3 years litigation experience working in a legal and/or professional services environment;
- Be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or equivalent devices.
