Our company is looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • May draft legal documents; compile, analyze and summarize data, perform legal research through computerized networks;
  • Has knowledge/is familiar with specialized legal policies, procedures, formats and terminology;
  • Prepares correspondence of a confidential nature;
  • Answers routine correspondence;
  • May utilize software applications/databases to manage complex legal matters;
  • Provides secretarial support to attorneys or paralegals;
  • Document comparison;
  • Scheduling depositions and hearings;
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, court appearances, deadlines, discovery examinations, etc;
  • Prepare files, track and organize;
  • Coordinating with clients & opposing counsel;
  • Prepare litigation documents including pleadings, orders and other court documents;
  • Communicate with court clerks, third-party vendors and service providers;
  • Other duties as assigned;

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize workload to meet deadlines;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office 2013;
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail with good follow-up skills;
  • 3-5 years recent law firm litigation experience;
  • Organized and detail oriented;
  • Attention to detail and proactive case management;
  • Able to work with minimal supervision as part of a team and independently;
  • Be able to communicate clearly and work well with a team and on your own;
  • Experience with PTAB filings preferred;
  • MUST have experience with electronic court filings (state and federal courts);
  • Flexible and adapts well to changes in workload;
  • Professional manner with lawyers, clients and other team members at all levels;
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook & Office Suite, as well as of other systems used in a law firm;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Impeccable English grammar with excellent verbal/written communication and proofreading skills.
