Real Estate Paralegal Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Real Estate Paralegal to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Review and abstracting of purchase agreements with attention to critical dates and closing conditions;
- Review closing statements;
- Organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to satisfy title requirements; and;
- Review and mark up a title commitment;
- Researching real property tax and ownership information;
- Drafting title review memorandums and title objection letters;
- Review and analysis of title, survey and due diligence, including zoning reports, site plans and similar materials;
- Assist in the preparation of real estate documents, exhibits and schedules and assisting with closing as needed;
- Manage due diligence activities, including creating and monitoring due diligence checklists;
- Monitor and manage all aspects of complex real estate transactions including loan closings and supporting attorneys as needed;
- Address post-closing matters and oversee preparation of closing binders.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to client service;Ability to handle stressful situations with a professional demeanor;
- Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities necessary;
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office;
- Customer Focus;
- 3-5 years of Paralegal experience;
- Real estate background required, banking experience preferred;
- Highly professional demeanor and appearance;
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented and fast paced environment;
- 2+ years of paralegal experience;
- Real estate/transactional experience strongly preferred;
- Working knowledge of legal documents and how they affect title to real property;
- Must be a Notary Public;
- Refinance experience a plus;
- Examination of title to determine status, liens, and to establish chain of title.
