Our company is looking for a Associate Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the on-site cell culture bank in liquid nitrogen and facilitate cryovials deposit and retrieval as requested;
  • Proposes next steps and strategies of development efforts;
  • Generate over expressing cell lines using various transfection methods;
  • Support immune-oncology research within the department;
  • Develops experimental designs and work plans in the creation of prototype products to meet desired performance metrics;
  • Records detailed observation and data from experiments performed. Keeps lab notebook records current and in good order as a working legal document;
  • Works closely with packaging, process development, and manufacturing during development, and commercialization of relevant products;
  • Update and upload data to the cell bank inventory program;
  • Execute and write up scientific experiments in a timely manner and with high quality;
  • Perform assay qualifications;
  • Maintain skills and knowledge in relevant biosciences up to date;
  • Perform analytical testing to support the development process;
  • Maintain cultures of mammalian cell lines;
  • Support laboratory and equipment maintenance;
  • Perform cell-based assays, mammalian cell transfection, viral infection.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Chemistry or Biological Sciences;
  • General laboratory skills;
  • 1-5 years within a biotech, medical device, or pharmaceutical environment;
  • Competency with Microsoft Office products;
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and documentation;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in biology, immunology, or related field, or equivalent experience;
  • Experience with flow cytometry operation and analysis;
  • Experience working with mammalian cell culture;
  • Enthusiasm, independence, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in analytical method development;
  • May be asked to assume other Department responsibilities (e.g. Safety, Quality, Social Committee);
  • Bachelor’s degree.
