Clinical Therapist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Clinical Therapist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Active collaboration with other professionals, both internally and externally, to ensure the best possible course of treatment for all clients;
- Maintenance of accurate and timely documentation of services within an electronic health record (EHR);
- Ongoing evaluation of the efficacy of treatment interventions and dynamic utilization of therapeutic services based upon this evaluation;
- Development and implementation of plans of treatment, with a focus on evidence based interventions;
- Specialized provision of therapeutic intervention to individuals, couples and/or groups of all ages presenting for treatment.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree (M.A. or M.S.) or Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited college or university;
- Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Illinois as a Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Professional Counselor;
- Minimum of 2 years outpatient experience post licensure;
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work with DCFS, courts, and other social service systems;
- Ability to work flexible hours, may including evenings and weekends;
- Ability to pass the required DCFS criminal background check, including child abuse and sexual offender registries;
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record; insured and reliable transportation;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials;
- LCSW or LCPC preferred;
- Ability to relate to the clients and staff and to the public in a courteous and professional manner;
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks;
- Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and staff;
- Strong organization and coordination skills;
- Ability to work in an alcohol, tobacco and drug-free environment.
