Our company is looking for a Engineering Lab Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design various product testing environments i.e. electrical, pressure, and temperature;
  • Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards;
  • Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;
  • Conducts himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner;
  • Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job;
  • Verify that all safety inspections are conducted daily or as needed in the test lab;
  • Comprehends and interprets testing data;
  • Utilization of specialized electronic test equipment;
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned;
  • Enter testing data into Product Test Report Database (PTR);
  • Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment;
  • Performs test at various stages of the production process, including where applicable, prior to final inspection;
  • Conducts engineering test and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work;
  • Conduct inspections of product through visual inspection and or testing;
  • Set-up and preform product demonstrations for tours.

Requirements:

  • Able to use safety equipment and power tools such as the overhead crane, skill saw, impact wrenches, gas powered cut off saw, etc;
  • Able to take accurate measurements with calipers, dial torque wrenches, outside diameter tape, micrometers, and other measuring tools;
  • Able to do repetitive work for prolonged periods of time;
  • Able to work in a hands-on capacity demonstrating good safety practices and common sense;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • HS Diploma or GED;
  • 8-10 yrs exp in Aerospace or related industry product testing;
  • Knowledge of Electricity and electronics;
  • Exp in the use of pressure gauges, manometers, dielectric and insulation resistance testers, thermal chambers and vibration testing.
