Environmental Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Environmental Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field scheduling with Environmental Manager, Project Field Manager and farmers. Ensure availability for back up operations;
- Work with Environmental Manger to establish long-term, value-add relationships with local farmers;
- Acquire and maintain adequate land base for the Project.
Requirements:
- 4 year BA/BS degree required, Major in Environmental Science, Chemistry preferred;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Understanding of the decide and consult concept;
- Not interested in a desk job;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Must have a clean driving record for the past 2 years;
- Excellent written/speaking skills;
- Experience in hazardous waste classification, lab pack segregation, and waste handling preferred;
- Interested in the field of environmental health and/or occupational safety;
- Must be willing and able to wear and properly use all levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) including air-purifying respirators;
- Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or related environmental degree preferred;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel and Outlook;
- Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR;
- Minimum of three years of directly relevant experience (5 years preferred) Preferred Qualifications;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software Primary (Essential) Job Functions.
