Our company is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician – 2nd shift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all required data entries for inspected items;
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows all established safety guidelines;
- Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals;
- Perform inspection of components and assemblies not limited to receiving, in-process and final Inspections;
- Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested;
- Manage microbiological control program for Company, driving improvement and efficiencies;
- Prepare and test finished product, raw materials, and/or environmental samples for analysis;
- Verify attributes of cooked products;
- Work with QA Manager on proactively improving quality assurance program;
- Evaluates and documents quality of finished goods and raw materials. Reports quality conditions as needed;
- Confirm the shelf-life of frozen packaged products shipped to customers;
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality;
- Maintain highly specific weight and ingredient monitoring system that meets requirements for all food labeling and auditing programs;
- Assist with shipping and receiving by reviewing COA’s, incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products;
- Responsible for the management and/or implementation of food safety, legality and quality programs.
Requirements:
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows all established safety guidelines;

- Complete all required data entries for inspected items;
- Abilities: Strong PC skills, includes MS Office;
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience as a QA Tech;
- Professional Certification: HACCP Certified preferred;
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment;
- Mechanical/Technical Aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment failures and make minor adjustments;
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision;
- Other characteristics: Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills; self-motivated and highly organized;
- Basic skills in Microsoft Windows and internet applications;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to read, write and understand polices, guidelines, specifications and safety standards.
