Area Director of Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Area Director of Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Furnishes Federal and State agencies all data required for certification or re-certification;
- Participates in the development of fiscal budgets for assigned clinics, as requested. Responsible and accountable for overall cost controls;
- Oversees the financial operation of the facility including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and inventory;
- Stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arm;
- Assures facility compliance with all regulatory bodies and ESRD networks;
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds;
- Provides leadership and direction to all management and staff in the region;
- Actively develops managers, leaders, and teams;
- Use common tools and equipment, portable power and hand tools, plumbing tools and flooring materials;
- Frequently required to climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear;
- Promotes teamwork and trust among all staff and management.
Requirements:
- Experience managing multiple locations – preferred;
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred;
- Assisted Living Administrator Certificate required;
- Experience of 3 years or more in a retirement, skilled long-term care, or assisted living industry preferred;
- Must be knowledgeable of DHSR regulations;
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community and state officials/surveyors, State hospitals and general public;
- Experience with financial reporting and managing multiple budgets;
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly;
- Practice and promote Affinity Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles;
- Must meet all health requirements;
- Must meet any specific state regulations for educational requirements;
- Minimum two years’ management experience required;
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management, or similar major field of study is preferred;
- One year experience in a dialysis unit or a similar healthcare setting is required.
