Our company is looking for a Assistant Account Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving, project management as well as time management;
  • Requests loss runs from carriers;
  • Works with IT department on any carrier interface or other technical issues;
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits;
  • Research specific territories to be able to cater the clients promotional offerings to the potential consumers;
  • Report end of day customer contact sheets and sales to each Executive Account Manager and track teams daily sales as well;
  • Attend daily sales and customer strategy meetings within the office and work with other Assistant Account Managers to ensure optimal success;
  • Be proactive and organized in the completion of tasks to exceed Account Manager expectations;
  • Develop high level of trust with Account Managers;
  • Processing business expenses;
  • Managing company ledgers;
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors;
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks;
  • Posting daily receipts;
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs;
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail;
  • College education or equivalent insurance experience;
  • Ability to perform 90% sedentary work;
  • Ability to understand written or oral communication and interpret abstract information;
  • Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations;
  • Has proficiency in, and understands the functionality various computer programs (i.e. agency management system, Microsoft Office suite);
  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form conclusions and produce answers that make sense;
  • Texas Property and Casualty License preferred but not required;
  • The ability to prioritize and effectively manage one’s time;
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented and a self-starter;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to perform effectively within aggressive deadlines;
  • Must be proficient with Excel, Word, etc;
  • Must have a minimum of 1-3 years related experience. Work experience in the car rental industry preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interface effectively inside and outside the department, as required.
