Assistant Plant Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assistant Plant Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Plant Manager on shipping and receiving operations;
- Give support with design, manufacturing and ordering procedures;
- Develop scheduling and have oversight on production practices;
- Train, Develop and motivate associates;
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with team and other managers;
- Discuss and improve members of each team;
- Comply with all company policies and procedures;
- When Plant Manager is unavailable become direct line of contact and become responsible for all operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Manufacturing Management or related field;
- Proven background in high volume production or manufacturing management, preferably within the building material or construction fields;
- 5 plus years of design experience;
- Organization and interpersonal skills;
- Considerable knowledge of management, supervision and leadership procedures;
- Project management skills;
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, DOT and Environmental Regulations;
- Recruitment, selection, training and supervision experience;
- Ability to define, prepare and analyze production reports, budgets and capital costs;
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, paint chemistry, processing, plant capacity and automations.
