Our company is looking for a Benefits Account Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day client billing inquiries;
  • Conduct full review and analysis for mid-large groups;
  • Assist with implementation of renewal decisions, program set-up, and vendor management;
  • Manage client relationship issues;
  • Invoicing;
  • Employee will exercise independent judgment and discretion about the management and tracking of policy renewals;
  • The employee will manage client conversations or general business operations of their manager’s customers;
  • Review marketing and financial exhibits;
  • Prepare benefit packets for open enrollment and new hires;
  • Research and respond to client as well as insurance carrier questions;
  • Employee will prepare meeting presentations with limited direction;
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with clients. Proactively follow up and anticipate client needs for potential challenges;
  • Scan and maintain documents, policies and correspondence in share drive;
  • Assist communications team with preparation and review of client communication pieces;
  • Manage all aspects of the RFP process.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly;
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office Suite. Strong knowledge of Excel;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as an independent contributor;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in account services in the employee benefits industry. Experience with mid-large groups is a plus;
  • Experience using Salesforce and Employee Navigator a plus;
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Life and Health License preferred;
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage responsibilities and tasks with competing priorities and deadlines;
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Strong attention to detail;
  • HS or equivalent required. Additional education a plus.
