Our company is looking for a Business Development Manager/Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • This is an individual contributor role;
  • Responsible for prospecting, reaching out, and onboarding new clients;
  • Provide outstanding customer service by educating customers about the service/product and resolving problems;
  • Build and manage relationships with potential and future customers pipeline;
  • Plan and execute business development events (e.g. speaking engagements, webinars, conferences);
  • Conduct and coordinate clients meetings with the CEO, lawyers, and patent engineers;
  • Responsible for being the single point of contact for each client;
  • Assess our sales process and continuously question the current way we work, and think big about how we can improve it;
  • Demonstrate high-level energy and professionalism representing the company;
  • Provide feedback to the executive, engineering, and data team to help improve the product;
  • Maintain existing customer accounts.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience at a leading investment bank, consulting firm, law firm, or tech company;
  • Have a proven track record of success in their past roles and experiences;
  • Hungry to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, law, management or related field(s);
  • Track record of originating new funding opportunities;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in international development or the social sector more broadly;
  • 5+ years of previous fundraising experience;
  • You have a high EQ and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Willingness to travel (could be as much as 75% of the time);
  • 2-8+ years professional experience; Business Development, Key Account Management, Investment Banking or Business Consulting experience a strong plus;
  • You have a demonstrated interest in real estate;
  • Business fluency (communicates in financial sustainability, return on investment, impact per donor dollar, etc.);
  • Language: English required.
