Commercial Construction Superintendent Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating/scheduling subcontractors and all other parties involved in the project;
- Overseeing Quality Control of all work performed;
- Resolve all on-site conflicts, issues and problems that may arise;
- Strong communication skills, ability to run meetings and coordinate with Owners and Designers;
- Experience working in occupied buildings;
- Ensure safe practices are used in the execution of project work;
- Strong leadership skills, ability to mentor and train others;
- Capable of producing and updating detailed schedules in Microsoft Project;
- Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control;
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs;
- Finish project on schedule & on budget;
- Receiving and inspecting jobsite deliveries;
- Call for and manage all inspections through completion;
- Attend project kickoff meeting with PM, client, & design team;
- Ensure Quality Workmanship Per Plans, Specs & Company Standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to address performance concerns in a direct, amenable, and fair manner;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Projects;
- 5-10 years’ supervision experience in the commercial construction industry;
- Heavy travel is required as we are licensed in NC, SC, VA, GA, & TN;
- Candidate must understand blueprints, be an excellent troubleshooter, and always be a few steps ahead;
- Must have clean criminal background and driving record;
- A high level of professionalism at all times;
- Can work extremely well with others;
- Must be a self-starter who takes responsibility for their work and gets the job done;
- Five-year minimum experience as Lead Superintendent in interior, high-end commercial general contracting;
- Must be able to quickly navigate applications on Microsoft and apple products;
- Must have great written and oral communication skills;
- Organized and detail oriented.
