Commercial Lines Account Executive Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a role model/mentoring relationship with Account Managers and Account Administrators in the Commercial Lines department;
- Manage and coordinate audits;
- Resolve any account performance issues and develop meaningful action plans to improve performance;
- Attend and assist with presentations for new business with potential clients, and renewal meetings with existing clients;
- Perform as liaison between assigned clients, carriers, brokers, consultants and other representatives;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Propose and sell additional coverages and services offered by the company;
- Provide risk management to clients, including contract review and analysis; suggest policy changes or updates as necessary;
- Negotiate and deliver renewal pricing; responsible for achieving renewal goals on assigned accounts.
Requirements:
- Supports, mentors, and trains Account Managers and Account Representatives, as necessary;
- Possesses mastery of the various HUB and industry resources and tools that are available and utilizes same to best serve clients;
- Prepares reports for management as required;
- Negotiates terms, conditions, and pricing directly with insurance carriers, in conjunction with the Marketing Team;
- Attends industry related continuing education training and courses;
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned;
- Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business;
- Travels on company business as required;
- Currently licensed in good standing in required lines and states;
- Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC);
- Ability to lead and influence in a team environment;
- Ability to work a regular, full-time work schedule at HUB’s facility(s) and ability to travel on business when required;
- Leadership experience and independent responsibility for client retention preferred;
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills;
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems.
