Our company is looking for a Compensation & Benefits Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing and future integration and harmonization projects relating to benefits plans in the region;
  • Coordinate with the HR Services team on benefit policy changes within the region to ensure effective and efficient administration;
  • Deliver benefit plans that aligns to Lonza’s total reward philosophy, delivers on a great employee experience, and enable continued scalability;
  • Assist running all Compensation and Benefits programs, plans, processes and infrastructure for the region;
  • Manage regional participation in the multinational pooling program;
  • Participate in compensation surveys, ensuring appropriate jobs are mapped to proper external roles;
  • Partner with the broker and counsel to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations including ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, DOL and ERISA;
  • Redesigining compensation plans;
  • Acting as the point of contact for any compensation or benefits questions;
  • Conduct ad-hoc and comprehensive job studies;
  • Manage the equity-based compensation program, administering documentation, amounts and compliance related items;
  • Benefits administration;
  • Managing benefits open enrollment;
  • Managing the year end compensation cycle for the NYC office;
  • Assist with design of new compensation programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Preferred area of study: Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Finance / Accounting;
  • Ability to work effectively at both strategic and operational levels;
  • Ability to multi-task, quickly assess and resolve issues, while translating complex information into concise and understandable terms;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others directly and/or indirectly, while fostering a team-oriented environment;
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline required;
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply;
  • Proven experience in providing highest levels of client service internally or externally;
  • Go-getter with ideas and the follow-through to accomplish them from start to finish;
  • Microsoft office knowledge (Excel, Word, Power Point);
  • 5 years of progressive benefits experience;
  • Previous success in developing and/or standardizing processes, with a focus on the client experience;
  • HRIS experience (preferably Ultipro or Ceridian Dayforce);
  • Union Knowledge preferred;
  • 2 years of compensation experience.
