Digital Media Planner/Buyer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Digital Media Planner/Buyer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in new business project assignments;
- Work with account teams to develop digital media strategy briefs;
- Monitor digital campaigns ensuring all learnings are being optimized;
- Negotiate and execute media plans, including preparation of media budgets, contract with vendor partners, and supporting creative materials;
- Maintain industry relationships, participate in webinars, industry events, etc. and stay up to date on trends;
- Solid background of both awareness and CPA driven campaigns;
- Work with media planning to create and present media plans including objectives, strategy, tactics, rationale for achieving KPI’s;
- Train and supervise digital media assistants/coordinators as needed;
- Work side-by-side with the data analytics team to ensure media plan is guided by client data insight;
- Learn all phases of the clients’ marketing objectives.
Requirements:
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;
- Expertise in local market and national buying across all digital media channels;
- Direct Response media experience a plus;
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 7+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a large media agency environment;
- Working knowledge of data analytics and media mix modeling a plus;
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills.
