Our company is looking for a Director, Content Strategy to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support client goals;
  • Review other content design approaches to understand emerging standards and innovation;
  • Lead Bixal’s content strategy practice to include managing and overseeing a team of content strategists and specialists;
  • Other responsibilities as required;
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of Bixal projects;
  • Prioritize monthly and weekly workflow to maximize revenue potential for ad sales team while minimizing operational costs;
  • Establish a close partnership with Sales to create unique opportunities and solutions for large national and local advertising clients;
  • As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition and new business presentations;
  • Increase efficiency and productivity through operational integration and technical innovation;
  • Utilize research, analytics, and industry trends to enhance engagement and retention across multiple platforms;
  • Develop, execute, and align multi-platform content strategies based upon current and emerging trends in the linear and digital programming space;
  • Advocate for best content practices within Bixal and with our clients;
  • Lead editorial decision-making and manage editorial voice and tone of content for continuity across all platforms;
  • Annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and reporting of content division;
  • Communicate a unified vision, clear direction, and shared goals across all content-producing groups.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead content strategy across the entire web development process and multiple organizations/clients;
  • Experience developing and implementing content strategies as part of cross-functional teams;
  • Experience in writing, revising, sourcing, and aggregating content;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (English, Communications, Journalism, Computer Science);
  • Experience developing content solutions for large websites or applications;
  • Understanding of holistic user-centered design processes, and how content strategy fits in and elevates the work;
  • Experience using data and analytics to support strategy;
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management;
  • Experience working within Agile design and development teams;
  • 7+ years professional experience with content strategy, web development, and UX principles;
  • Knowledge of the development and maintenance of both structured and unstructured content types.
