Our company is looking for a Director of Clinical Education to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains educational records for the program in conformance with state and federal requirements;
  • Conducts on-going assessments of educational programming, including reviewing and evaluating new teaching materials;
  • Designs, implements, and administers all aspects of the educational program for students enrolled in the Respiratory Care Program;
  • Evaluates effectiveness of teaching by reviewing graduate performance;
  • Assists Chair in the organization, administration, continuous and periodic review, planning, development and general effectiveness of the program;
  • Member of the Admissions and Student Progress and Promotions committees;
  • Participates in lab or clinical skills sessions and examinations as appropriate;
  • Provides for the continuous review and update of all clinical course materials and learning objectives;
  • Oversees student assessment and acquisition of clinical competencies;
  • Reviews preceptor licensure and board certification status to ensure ARC Standards compliance;
  • Provides guidance, training, and ongoing communication for clinical preceptors;
  • Facilitates one learning community and acts as advisor to its members;
  • Assists in other duties as assigned by the Program Chair;
  • Participates in the assessment and governance of the Dept of PA Education;
  • Oversees the clinical portion of the Department of Physician Assistant Education curriculum.

Requirements:

  • NCCPA certified;
  • Minimum of Master’s Degree / Doctorate preferred;
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program;
  • Prior academic experience preferred but not required;
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a physician assistant in California.
