Director of Content Marketing Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Director of Content Marketing to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute multi-faceted content marketing campaigns that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention for Coupa;
- Use data to help inform content marketing strategy, program strategy, and decisions on content creation and syndication;
- Serve as an in-house editor for all external content, including partnerships with leading trade publications;
- Develop Brand positioning, messaging and segmentation, and voice;
- Develop the roadmap for content that aligns against integrated marketing initiatives like campaigns, events, product launches, and promotions;
- Own content strategy and execution across digital and print channels;
- Lead content and digital marketing team of 3+
- Build a community of raving fans who will participate in Workable-hosted events and webinars;
- Manage the Resources and Blog sections of the Workable site and ensure SEO best practices are consistently utilized and implemented;
- Master the proper mix of formats (e.g. blogs, guides, ebooks, reports, videos, interactive content, podcasts, etc.) and distribution channels;
- Develop and/or shape the content that is produced for Workable-hosted events and webinars;
- Develop an understanding of – and build a model for – how to measure content’s influence on pipeline generation and closed-won business;
- Develop a deep understanding of Workable’s customers and prospects and figure out what motivates them and the decision makers around them;
- Deliver a content marketing program that delivers measurable value (not just clicks);
- Lead employer marketing content creation including website, blog, social, white papers, newsletters, and email nurture campaigns.
Requirements:
- Experience writing content for procurement and/or finance buyers a plus;
- Passionate about Brands and the intersection of technology and healthcare;
- 10+ years in content marketing;
- Ability to take complex information and communicate it clearly in simple and understandable language for our target audiences;
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and re-prioritize quickly;
- Entrepreneurial with an ability to create and follow plans yet flexible enough to respond to change while balancing multiple projects and priorities;
- Desire to learn, grow and develop as a first-class startup executive, and to mentor future team members;
- Experience managing teams, include remote and virtual employees;
- Comfortable with both big-picture strategy and in-the-weeds execution;
