Director of Diversity and Inclusion Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Director of Diversity and Inclusion to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Advisor to the company’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), facilitating and managing the governance related to ERG activities;
- Track and implement metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives;
- Manage policies;
- Assess effectiveness of diversity programs;
- Determine diversity related priorities;
- Provide training;
- Benchmark best practices;
- Partner with the broader HR team to mutually advance understanding and impact of diversity and inclusion strategies;
- Assess and advise on complex and nuanced employee relations situations as appropriate;
- Develop data-driven approaches to influence decision making practices and communication of divisional and organizational successes and stories;
- Subject matter expert and Champion, advising the Executive Leadership team on Diversity and Inclusion strategies that drive impact;
- Recommend, or develop and deliver, training programs that integrate diversity, equity & inclusion principles;
- Inspires and facilitates an environment of effective communication, teamwork and recognition throughout the work program;
- Perform other duties as assigned by management;
- Tracking, evaluating, and reporting on the effectiveness of diversity activities. Report on milestone progress toward strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Diversity & inclusion Learning & Development,
- Strong project management skills;
- Able to work with sensitive and confidential material and possess good business judgment;
- Proven proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external networks;
- Second language would be a plus;
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Proven leadership relating to diversity and inclusion;
- Can lead through ambiguity;
- Ability to develop and articulate global strategies;
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio);
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with applying data to business challenges;
- Track record of developing and implementing effective diversity and inclusion strategies in the workplace;
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the field of Human Resources;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, strong teaming orientation and high adaptability;
- Ability to work effectively and influence others in a diverse and dynamic work environment.
