Our company is looking for a Director Of Finance And Administration to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops RFPs for key service contracts;
  • Reconciles key balance sheet accounts;
  • Experience overseeing audits, and tax preparation;
  • Five years of budgeting experience preparing and submitting budgets to funders and donors;
  • Act as point person between bookkeeping firm and auditing firm to ensure effective communication and understanding of task delegation;
  • Experience supervising staff;
  • Work with department directors to develop and track programmatic budgets;
  • Knowledge of Family Medical Leave and Affordable Health Care Laws and Regulations;
  • Experience managing and providing statistical financial reports to private and government donors;
  • Experience working in a non for profit;
  • Liaise with the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee regarding the organization’s finances;
  • Advanced knowledge using financial software applications including ADP Payroll, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and SAP;
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually;
  • Manage banking and broker relationships;
  • Oversee the Administrative Support Manager’s duties regarding payroll and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Develops RFPs for key service contracts;
  • Broad knowledge of facilities and technology management, regulatory processes and insurance needs;
  • Fluency in accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP compliance preferred;
  • Reconciles key balance sheet accounts;
  • Discretion and confidentiality a must, humor a plus;
  • Outstanding attention to detail, work ethic, and problem-solving skills, as well as a willingness to learn new skills;
  • The ability to motivate and coach;
  • Ability to professionally format documents;
  • Understanding of automated accounting systems;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, finance or related field required; CPA or masters level preferred;
  • Strong commitment to civil rights and civil liberties;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, to work collaboratively and prioritize with colleagues;
  • At least four years relevant work experience, ideally in the nonprofit sector;
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and non-profit management;
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
