Finance Director directs an organization’s financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Typically requires a master’s degree. Additionally, Finance Director typically reports to Chief Financial Officer. May require a CPA. The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.

Our company is looking for a Director of Finance to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify market trends and make suggestions for untapped areas of opportunity;
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with financial related company policies and best practices;
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Casino – Airway Heights;
  • Maintain personnel records;
  • Drill down into functional areas to provide value add analysis in order to drive profitability;
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco;
  • maintaining and improving business processes within Banner Finance and Banner Accounts Receivable;
  • Proactively partner with leadership and cross -functional teams to develop and support strategic initiatives and improve actual financial results;
  • Achieve personal performance goals and objectives set by the SVP Finance and Product Group GM;
  • Effectively present information to staff, senior management, the Board of Directors and/or public groups;
  • Monitoring payroll general ledger entries, payroll tax analysis, and W2’s;
  • An active participant in Meggitt Production System (MPS) including personal engagement, deploying finance resources and tone from the top;
  • Ensure successful treasury cash management, compliance with the management agreement and attendant legal documents;
  • Managing 403 (b) deductions/contributions which includes tracking deductions and processing invoices for contributions and working up year-end costs;
  • Manage accounting processes, including the monthly financial close, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
  • MBA and/or CPA a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills; proficient in use of accounting software;
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with a small team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Experience with “PointClickCare” system required;
  • Financial management experience;
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat during working hours;
  • 2+ years in people management role;
  • 5+ years direct experience in a senior level financial position in a health care setting required;
  • Excellent analytical and mathematics skills;
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills;
  • Community Health Center and federal policy familiarity preferred;
  • Effectively present information to staff, senior management, the Board of Directors and/or public groups;
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
