Our company is looking for a Director Of Financial Aid to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a Default Management Plan and monitor its effectiveness;
  • Identify and assist in developing new sources of financial aid funding (This includes establishing awarding procedures for the funds);
  • Customer Service;
  • Attend and prepare for all meetings called by the President, Provost and/or other executive officers of the university;
  • Continually look for opportunities to streamline and improve processes to enhance the student experience;
  • Authorize major and minor office expenditures in keeping with approved annual budget;
  • Performs other duties as directed;
  • Develop and maintain financial aid information for current and prospective students in coordination wit the overall marketing plan of the college;
  • Account for financial aid files for audits;
  • Conduct federal loan exit interviews in accordance with federal regulations;
  • Work with the Office of University Marketing & Communications in the creation of university financial aid publications;
  • Participate in college-wide training, on committees, and the development of policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for managing, planning, and supervising all aspects of the Financial Aid Office operation;
  • Provide proper training and updates on financial aid for office staff such as BANNER, need analysis, packaging, counseling, etc;
  • Maintain records in compliance with federal/state and institutional policy.

Requirements:

  • Credentials and/or experience substantially comparable to the above may also be considered;
  • Experience working at a mid-sized public institution;
  • Experience working with NCAA Division I or II athletics and athletic scholarships;
  • Master’s degree required with preference given if in a related area and six years of experience in a college/university student financial aid office;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff and oversee financial resources/budgets;
  • Knowledge of and strong experience with the Financial Aid module of the Banner Student system preferred;
  • Experience with financial aid and econometric modeling and leveraging strategies.
