Our company is looking for a Director of IT Infrastructure to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations;
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance;
  • Lead governance and automation efforts to minimize manual work and ensure transparency in all aspects of the IT infrastructure ecosystem;
  • Provide guidance to technical teams regarding architectural and procedural best practices;
  • Participates in budgeting process to ensure service agreements, equipment contracts and equipment contracts are budgeted for renewals;
  • Oversee and develop continuous delivery framework and tools;
  • Trains, supervises, assigns projects to and is responsible for hiring/termination of staff to maintain optimum performance of job duties;
  • Manages a team of IT professionals to support, maintain and sustain the service levels set for the organization;
  • Performs at or above the enterprise’s IT evaluation standards;
  • Directs the design, development and implementation of IT standards and tools assuring alignment with the organization’s strategic vision and plans;
  • Provide leadership to team by communicating vision, strategies and objectives to employees;
  • Provide career counseling and professional development support;
  • Fulfills Departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal absence;
  • Prepares and administers performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments for staff;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years working with cloud-based platforms (primarily Azure) in an enterprise environment;
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership of infrastructure change and transformation programs;
  • 5+ years of experience in managing technology teams supporting complex infrastructures of 20+ locations and teams of 10+ technical resources;
  • Experience with designing, implementing, or operating IT systems on leading enterprise platforms;
  • Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles;
  • A strong understanding of Information/Application Security on premise and in the cloud;
  • Understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies;
  • Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques;
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Computer Science, Healthcare, or Business preferred;
  • Some Project Management experience helpful;
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT Director/Manager role with strong customer service background (Healthcare and/or Academic industry required);
  • Experience being a Leader and managing staff; Experience building project teams and driving change within an organization.
