Director of Nursing – DON – RN Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Director of Nursing – DON – RN to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication;
- Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation;
- Helps the Administrator prepare staff for inspection surveys.
Requirements:
- Must be currently licensed RN by the State Board of Nursing in Massachusetts;
- Prior management experience in long-term care as a Director of Nursing is required;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-time nurse in long-term care, preferred;
- Must be an experienced leader with a positive personality and strong clinical skills.
