Our company is looking for a Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing marketing, renewal, and new business strategies to optimize Provant’s position in the market;
  • Prepares master group files, client contact sheet, and maintains carrier files;
  • Orders supplies from carriers, and reviews for accuracy;
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with all carrier partners and vendors to enhance our reputation in the marketplace;
  • Installs and regularly updates client specific data in BenefitPoint;
  • Provide mentorship with Account Administrator/Assistant Plan Analyst were applicable;
  • Attends industry related continuing education training and courses;
  • Prepare renewal and new business proposals, presentation materials and supporting documents as necessary;
  • Maintain ownership of the agency management system (documents, emails, phone calls, contracts, internal processes and procedures, etc.);
  • Facilitates 5500 preparation;
  • Possess strong knowledge of the Provant resources and tools available to best serve our clients;
  • Perform routine review and analysis of documentation, insurance applications and policy issuance files for accuracy and completeness;
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions, changes, and current legislation;
  • Service a book of business with revenue of at least $500,000 in annualized commission and fees;
  • Service a book of business with a minimum of 30 accounts.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment;
  • The candidate has a sense of urgency and takes pride in their work;
  • Understand and analyze insurance coverage’s, forms, and policies;
  • Experience in level-funding, self-funding, and alternative funding strategies preferred;
  • Ability to discern and prioritize with clients, colleagues, and insurance carrier representatives;
  • Work with little or no supervision;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Organize, set, and maintain priorities;
  • Be self-motivated and goal oriented;
  • College Degree required;
  • Assist in developing marketing, renewal, and new business strategies to optimize Provant’s position in the market;

  • Service a book of business with a minimum of 30 accounts;
