Federal Account Executive Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Federal Account Executive to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully manage and close sales opportunities with the DoD/DoE Community;
- Travel up to 20% as required;
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Federal marketplace, develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current projects and key drivers;
- Proactively create and develop relationships with key stakeholders;
- Collaborate with the wider team, particularly Field Engineering, Customer Engineering and Sales leadership;
- Provide and meet or exceed sales forecasts;
- Leverage existing relationships to drive deployment and successfully navigate procurement/bid process;
- Build and strengthen your business relationship with existing accounts; follow-up to ensure all their post-sales needs are being met;
- Leverage CRM to maintain accurate data and hold responsibility for the development, management and closure of forecasted opportunities;
- Work strategically to navigate within existing accounts to expand footprint and use cases;
- Work in close partnership with the rest of the Global sales team to close more opportunities and expand revenues.
Requirements:
- Persuasive. Your written and verbal communication skills engage our potential clients in a way that is insightful and inspiring;
- Passionate about sales and customer experience;
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree;
- IT or cybersecurity training experience a plus;
- Quick study with the ability to learn new things, think on your feet, and problem-solve;
- At least 8 years of professional selling experience in technology sales;
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas;
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office including, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Proven prospecting and sales cycle management skills;
- Understanding of e-business and e-marketing;
- Successful experience at new account development or large account management;
- High levels of social perceptiveness and customer service;
- Confident using Microsoft Office programs;
- Experience with selling Analytics or Business Intelligence required;
- Ability to apply and understand pricing strategies.
