Our company is looking for a General Manager in Training to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor subordinates;
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate the performance of all gym-related managers;
  • Monitor the hiring, training and scheduling of all gym level staff;
  • Properly manage and maintain gym operational budget;
  • Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean and operationally sound;
  • Responsible for managing disciplinary actions involving all gym level employees;
  • Manage payroll, payment of expenses and employees’ training and certification records;
  • Plan and promote special events for the gym on a monthly basis, using corporate marketing as needed;
  • Challenge your sales team to be creative in meeting the needs of our customers and clients, ensuring that no possibility goes unmet;
  • Driving sales;
  • Properly delegate, monitor and evaluate specifically assigned responsibilities of sales team through the Sales Manager;
  • Plan and promote special events for the gym on a monthly basis, using corporate marketing as needed;
  • Providing customer service;
  • Tracking inventory;
  • Managing team members.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years experience working in a general management/operational role, preferably in mobility equipment or automotive sales;
  • Direct management experience overseeing a diverse team of team members;
  • Excellent customer service skills with an unending commitment toward caring for others;
  • Solid verbal, written, and computer (MS Office, inventory database, etc.) skills are required;
  • College degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) preferred;
  • High school graduate or equivalent education;
  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery or other service industry with responsibility for financial results;
  • Ability to partner and build relationships while demonstrating leadership and integrity and promoting team success;
  • Previous management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability;
  • Ability to create and maintain a customer focused culture.
