Head of Creative Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Creative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead creative brainstorming sessions to develop and pitch new video ideas;
- Lead 3-7 teams of creatives and editors to execute video concept ideas;
- Hire, develop, and mentor a world-class creative strategy team;
- Working closely with other heads of departments on company projects;
- Lead strategy meetings with clients and other strategists to understand business objectives, client positioning and consumer needs;
- Performance manage creative strategists, and if necessary develop improvement plans or exit low performing members of the creative strategist team;
- Overseeing creative department, leading a team of 5-10 with a focus on developing the team members to reach their full potential;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Use relevant findings in performance data to help successfully execute long-term plans for improving account performance;
- Write scripts that engage specific personas in an audience;
- Collaborate with video editors to create cogent, effective, and attention-grabbing videos in alignment with account strategies;
- Construct short-term tests to obtain insights related to various ad variables;
- Making sure that brand guidelines are adhered to in all creative activities across the company;
- Participate in the evaluation and hiring of creative strategists at Lucky Day;
- Working closely with the Creative Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met and work is delegated to team.
Requirements:
- Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals (able to be a coach and a player);
- Experience running successful marketing campaigns and creative projects;
- Work experience as Head of Creative or Executive/Group Creative Director, preferable within our industry;
- BSc and MSc in Marketing or relevant field;
- Effective written, verbal, and oral communication skills;
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Powerpoint, HTML, PHP, Emarsys;
- Detail oriented, able to work in pressure;
- Understanding of customer experience methodology, brand management, marketing, advertising, and e-commerce;
- Advanced level After Effects skills. Compositing, tracking, track mattes, rotoscoping, and particle effects;
- 7+ years of working a creatively driven role such as Brand Management, Marketing, Advertising, or Video Production;
- An eye for detail when it comes to graphical layouts, eye-lines, and color schemes;
- Knowledge of DSLRs and editing software;
- Proficiency with common DSLR’s and extremely comfortable getting your hands dirty setting up shots;
- 4+ years of Management preferred;
- 3D modeling and texturing a plus.
