Our company is looking for a Head of merchandising to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the field to obtain and interpret customer feedback;
  • Rollup to and work closely with CEO;
  • Create and implement a Third Party goods assortment strategy;
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure that brand storytelling drives customer traffic and is consistent;
  • Lead the planning team to determine new areas of growth, rank and plan the line, set pricing strategy and interpret and act on our sales data;
  • Successfully manage and develop a team of 2-3 merchants;
  • Oversee the Gross Margin, line plan, and fiscal budget;
  • Drive product creation that differentiates OV from its competition;
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and production on a product strategy that is both commercially viable and led from a fashion perspective;
  • Develop roadmap and line plan to strategically drive business results;
  • Lead Global Merchandising to develop product assortments for the brand and build long-term business strategies;
  • Create seasonal business strategies that meet financial goals and customer expectations;
  • Identify and incorporate relevant trends into the product offering in a brand-appropriate way;
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising to ensure assortment and feel of the store is consistent with merchandising direction;

Requirements:

  • Experience building line plans, driving product assortments and partnering with design to conceive product concepts that grow business;
  • 10 or more years of apparel merchandising experience with a vertical retailer. Performance apparel experience a plus;
  • Experience growing businesses by developing merchandise plans with trend-right product for the customer across multiple categories and channels;
  • High taste level;
  • Experience working in a design-oriented, proprietary product business;
  • A blend of financial knowledge and creative merchandising skills;
  • A track-record of building, aligning, and inspiring teams;
  • An optimistic and enthusiastic relationship builder and hands-on leader;
  • Understand the OV brand and it’s positioning in the market;
  • Collaborative leadership style and diverse partnership abilities.
