Head of People Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of People Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Codify our vision around what it means to work at Homebound and rally the team around that vision;
- Enhance and foster The League’s culture by developing programs and initiatives that keep our employees closely knit;
- Help to manage total rewards benefits plans and identify new benefits offerings as the team continues to grow;
- Serve as a trusted resource to all employees, and guide them through career development and interpersonal conversations;
- Leverage technical skills to propose process improvements, expand our reporting capabilities and automate tasks through technology;
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with IT, Compliance and Finance to ensure streamlined processes and controls;
- Create and implement frameworks and tools for project management, data management and testing;
- Work with our leadership team to maintain and evolve Sawhorse’s company culture and employer brand;
- Build a world class onboarding program that helps employees quickly ramp into their new role;
- Maintain our benefits package to ensure it remains competitive and reflects our company culture;
- Manage benefit vendor integrations and partner with Benefits team on Open Enrollment activities;
- Develop performance management, compensation, and learning and development programming;
- Improve user adoption by leading the development, delivery, and maintenance of our training initiatives;
- Own and provide leadership on all human resources related activities and set our people operations strategy and processes;
- Oversee testing and migration approval for HR technology changes.
Requirements:
- High level of integrity and ability to use good judgement;
- Experience crafting and managing compensation practices;
- Consulting and/or other operational experience a plus;
- 5 or more years previous experience running the People/Human Resources function within a high-growth, progressive organization;
- An undergraduate degree is required; HR certifications / Master’s degree preferred;
- Exceptional communication & collaboration skills, particularly with people who have different skill sets;
- A data driven decision-maker with the ability to advocate for investments in people operations strategies from an ROI perspective;
- Proven ability to design and implement people operations strategies that drive business results;
- A deep knowledge of legal HR compliance matters. Knowledge of Arizona, California and U.S. employment laws and regulations required;
- 8+ years of experience in People Operations Leadership roles;
- Ability to adjust rapidly to changing demands and priorities;
- Utilize people-related data to aid in strategic decision making; develop key metrics to measure employee engagement, performance and retention;
- A highly curious individual with a growth mindset;
- Exceptional communication & collaboration skills, particularly with people who have different skill sets;
- Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Close to light rail and public transportation.
