Head of People Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of People to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully scale and champion Pana’s culture for the entire company;
- Payroll, Benefits and Compensation;
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws (with an emphasis on SF and CA, NY, WA and TX), HR best practices and industry standards;
- Satisfying and exceeding compliance requirements;
- Own performance management and goal setting process;
- Learning & Development;
- Managing the entire recruiting process for different areas of the company;
- Compliance;
- Assist in processing 401(k) contributions through payroll;
- Continually benchmark the competitiveness of all people programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets;
- Selling candidates on opportunities at Ocrolus;
- Oversee and lead initiatives in Talent Development, Compensation, Benefits, Culture/Engagement, Employee Relations and Facilities Management;
- Ensure Pana retains and up-levels talent throughout the whole org anization;
- Ensure that we build and maintain a cohesive global culture (including vision, mission & values);

Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple functional areas of HR such as payroll, benefits, etc;
- 8+ years of experience in HR;
- BA/BS or equivalent experience;
- 2+ years of management experience;
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with consistently shifting priorities;
- Ability to work in-person at our office in Denver (we’re in RiNo );
- Preferably experienced working within a tech/tech-driven industry with a high preference for experience for fintech;
- Demonstrated track record of helping to develop an HR function that is a mission-critical and people-driven partner in the success of the business;
- An experienced people leader with 10+ years of experience leading HR in a hyper growth environment;
- Deep understanding of HR-related compliance requirements;
- A Bachelors Degree is required; Master Degree in Human Resources Management or related fields preferred;
- Management consulting experience;
- Experience at startups, ideally Series B or later stage;
- Degree in Psychology, Sociology or similar field.
