Our company is looking for a Head of Public Sector to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deepen executive relationships with public sector customers;
  • Articulate and implement strategic territory and account plans aligned to SADA’s strategic direction;
  • Serve as a key member of the GCP Public Sector team, helping to advance our market and technical strategy, as well as managing a small sales team;
  • Ability to leverage C-level relationships with executives;
  • Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating a relevant value proposition to potential customers;
  • Understand the technical considerations, certifications, and procurement processes specific to the public sector;
  • Assist the team in managing C-Suite relationships with key customers;
  • Lead all operational functions for the Public Sector; Clearances; Partnerships (SI relationships);
  • Responsible for Public Sector Revenue, Support and Product deliverable targets;
  • Coach a growing team of managers to create high performers;
  • Lead corporate discussion of pricing strategy, GSA Schedule development and maintenance, and partnership programs in civilian and defense sectors;
  • Lead discussion around strategy and cost for adapting commercial products to the government vertical and creating new products;
  • Own the resulting strategy and its high level execution;
  • Own relationships for key accounts. Ensure success of key pilot projects;
  • Build up sales, sales engineering, customer success, program management and engineering teams as the company scales.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quota;
  • 5+ years of technology sales experience selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services;
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales and/or business development experience with a focus on state and local government customers;
  • Experience selling Google Cloud offerings;
  • 5+ Sales Management;
  • Security clearances preferred (e.g. TS, TS/SCI);
  • Proven ability to create strategic relationships at high levels in government agencies;
  • Significant Executive level sales and/or business development leadership experience selling to civilian, defense and national security customers;
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business across government agencies by creating long-term trusted relationships;
  • Minimum 5 years experience at CEO level or Head of Public Sector in a commercial software company;
  • Professional experience within one or more target agencies preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to deeply understand complex technology and relate it to economic, humanitarian and national security problems.
