Our company is looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • maintain and repair horizontal steel-cutting bandsaws;
  • perform building maintenance;
  • Basic computer skills, smart phone and ELD familiarity;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, work closely with branch and corporate operations teams;
  • Responsible for up to 30+ cutting machines; plate saws, band saws, shears, iron worker;
  • Ability to organize workload for maximum effectiveness including PM and breakdowns;
  • Small electrical tasks (changing outlets, changing light fixtures/ballasts, etc.);

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand plant layouts, capital estimating, associate-man computations and tire manufacturing equipment processes;
  • Equipment design experience & project engineering or project management role is preferred;
  • Computer literate in MS Office Suite, computerized layouts sheets & database management;
  • Aptitude in mechanical, electrical and welding applications;
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement, safety and environmental protection;
  • Proven ability to gain results in a team environment;
  • Welding experience, ability to read measuring devices and knowledge of pneumatics and vacuum systems;
  • mechanical troubleshooting/repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems;
  • ability to perform minor plumbing, carpentry and welding repairs;
  • Ability to be Forklift Certified;
  • Knowledge of equipment parts, warranties, and manufacturers of industrial cutting equipment;
  • Troubleshoot, replace parts, and repair equipment at all locations so that equipment is kept in operational condition;
  • 3+ years of repair experience of propane, gasoline, diesel, and electrical and hydraulic power equipment i.e. forklifts, trucks and side loaders;
  • Maintain and repair equipment so that down time is minimized and equipment is available when needed;
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
