Our company is looking for a Medical Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring outstanding care of patients at the programs four locations in Crestwood, Flossmoor, South Holland, and Tinley Park;
  • Manage safety issues in clinical trials and work closely with associates in evaluation and assessment of the trials;
  • Interact with the FDA, CMS and other regulatory bodies in support of trial, data or company;
  • Documentation/Risk Adjustment;
  • Monitor and manage market performance;
  • Provides oversight and support advanced practice providers;
  • Clinical Committee Functions/Leadership;
  • Provides emergency services when appropriate;
  • Support commercial, product and coaching teams by addressing ongoing clinical questions;
  • Providing support, education, counseling, encouragement, and motivation;
  • Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board certification preferred;
  • Providing input into the creation of the protocol and other study-related documents;
  • Quality Improvement;
  • Work in consultation with intake counselors and addiction counselors to identify patients with co-occurring disorders;
  • Review and approve site specific medical policies and procedures in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with UM compliance policies around contracting, procurement, conflict of interest, data security;
  • Ability to synthesize clinical research and communicate ideas in oral or written form clearly and concisely to varied audiences;
  • Interest and experience utilizing the biopsychosocial care model;
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically approximately 50% of the time;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince and persuade;
  • High degree of independence and sound strategic instincts regarding healthcare/pharmaceutical marketing is required;
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of staff;
  • Being pro-active and able to work efficiently and effectively with a team;
  • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance. Timely renewal required;
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to provide independent medical direction;
  • This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Psychiatric Care Experience;
  • Ensures accountability – Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
