Paid Search Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Paid Search Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform competitive analysis around the current search landscape – Manage monthly invoicing and billing;
- Execute paid search optimizations including ad copy tests and keyword management, bid adjustments, etc;
- Track pacing and paid search budgets for assigned client programs;
- Implementation of campaign to ensure all timeframes and budgets are adhered to;
- Assist in the strategy development and execution of B2C and B2B paid search campaigns;
- Participate in brainstorm sessions;
- Effectively manage day-to-day client relationship(s), inclusive of educating clients on digital concepts, best practices, and trends;
- Oversee search and shopping campaigns, strategy, and execution;
- Identify new opportunities for clients both internally and externally;
- Work with cross-functional account teams including tech, creative, research, analytics and trafficking to see campaigns through to completion;
- Manage other digital marketing programs where applicable. Inclusive of display, remarketing and more;
- Manage junior staff with training, project prioritization, and client deliverables;
- Communicate with clients directly with minimal supervision;
- Develop and implement search test strategies (inclusive of, but not limited to: bidding, copy, positioning, etc.);
- Analyze weekly campaign results, optimize programs, and execute client status reports.
Requirements:
- Ability to manage different personalities as well as the ability to exude confidence and expertise in client meetings;
- Mastery of Analytics Platforms (GA, Adobe);
- Deadline and detail-oriented;
- Hands on experience managing online campaigns across a variety of vendors (i.e. Google, MSN, Yahoo, Facebook, etc.). Kenshoo and DS experience a plus;
- Mastery of all basic SEM Fundamentals;
- AdWords Certification a plus;
- 1-3 years paid search experience at least;
- Complete understanding of bid management systems/practices;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint;
- Strong analytical and project management skills;
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preference in Marketing, Data Analytics);
- Must have client facing experience.
