Our company is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits;
- Process all benefit changes including new hires, life events, terminations and COBRA enrollments;
- Day-to-day payroll and benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and weekly running of payroll;
- Participates in training, in-services, and attends staff meetings as required;
- Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, employee, residence, company information and records;
- Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents’ families, visitors and staff;
- Review and analyze general ledger transactions and accounts. Manage payroll portion of general ledger, with approval and support;
- Partnering with HR to manage annual benefits open enrollment;
- Act as primary point person to address employee inquiries regarding pay;
- Complies with the attendance policy;
- Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene and appropriate attire;
- Assists with projects as assigned and performs other related duties;
- Reporting on payroll and benefits on a monthly and quarterly basis;
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization within the functional area;
- Perform other related duties or ad hoc projects within the scope of responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Excel required;
- Consistently exhibit a sense of urgency in performing duties with the ability to balance multiple priorities;
- 1-3 years of benefit and payroll experience;
- A hardworking and positive mindset;
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now Required;
- Strong Excel skills required;
- Experience running payroll required;
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or similar;
- Able to communicate effectively in English with all levels of the organization and with residents, visitors, and with members of the community;
- Proficient in MS Excel and the Google Drive systems;
- 2-3 years of payroll and benefits and/or subscription receivables experience;
- Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship / relocation);
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to maintain basic booking and payroll records of expenditures of the community;
- Experience in Payroll and Benefits software, QuickBooks Online a plus.
