Senior Clinical Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Clinical Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identifies risks and leads team members to mitigate risks in timely fashion;
- Tracks and reports on the progress of assigned clinical trials including budget and timelines;
- Develops and maintains positive relationships both internal and external to project, including site personnel (KOLs, PIs, Study coordinators);
- Provides input and review of the development of in-house operations SOPs, guidelines and systems;
- Serving as the primary project contact with the client;
- Ensuring compliance with study tools, training materials and standard processes, policies and procedures;
- Project status reporting and surveillance for risk;
- Oversight of database management;
- Autoimmune & Rheumatology;
- Weighs in on resource and budget forecasts and timelines;
- Functions as GCD contact person for the respective local BD organization;
- Provides critical thinking and escalates accordingly when issues arise during execution of clinical studies;
- Rare Blood Diseases (non-oncology) and Metabolic/Storage Disorders;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Oversees/leads and trains study-specific local clinical resources, e.g. contractor CRA, CRO, etc.
Requirements:
- Strong client and vendor relationship management skills;
- Demonstrated and effective interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences;
- Ability to work virtual/remote if candidate has previous experience working effectively in a virtual/remote environment;
- Knowledge of clinical trial concepts and practices, including international clinical research guidelines and regulations;
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the life sciences, clinical or other relevant technical areas;
- Ability to travel approximately 30%, worldwide;
- Minimum of 4 years project management experience.
