Our company is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements strategic external communication plans;
  • Ensures consistent delivery of key messages to all internal and external audiences;
  • Supports Director of Communications in mitigating brand and business issues and managing crises;
  • Creates external communications materials including press releases, talking points, FAQs, positioning statements and videos;
  • Partners to identify opportunities for cross-functional campaigns and story amplification. Cultivates content sources within the organization;
  • Supervise the Firm’s awards process; provide guidance on awards, sponsorship, advertising, editorial and advertorial proposals;
  • Draft communication materials such deal announcements, byline article abstracts, pre-briefing documents, social media posts, etc.;
  • Identify with Partners and BD members emerging trends and issues that impact clients that can be communicated via a range of channels;
  • Help to plan and execute the Firm’s marketing strategy; utilize strong media contacts to promote Firm and Partners;
  • Spearhead campaigns to obtain company-wide corporate and industry awards;
  • Oversee company’s media monitoring function while also evaluating industry news and media coverage of issues that are of interest to the company;
  • Proactively cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders to stay abreast of relevant business information;
  • Secure proactive media coverage for Carbon’s major initiatives in tech, trade, business, consumer and broadcast media outlets;
  • Maintain and build upon solid sports, business, and trade contacts at national broadcast, print and online media outlets;
  • Manage and update WWE’s corporate website and corporate media/company documents.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of communications/public relations experience, preferably in legal services, either at a firm or on the agency side;
  • Proven track record of successful client relationship management;
  • Strong understanding of the legal and business landscape and ability to help the firm to distinguish itself from peer firms;
  • Experience in developing and successfully executing communications & PR plans;
  • Keep abreast of WWE products and storylines, as well as entertainment, media, and sports industry trends;
  • Self-directed and results driven personality;
  • Phenomenal writing skills with a meticulous eye for detail;
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • 7-10 years of communications experience (bonus if you have communications experience in the financial industry or at a SaaS company);
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in communications, preferably at a media/entertainment company, or sports organization or brand;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing, or similar relevant experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field of study preferred;
  • Strong writer with experience submitting awards on behalf of major corporations;
  • Knowledge of media/communications channels across multiple touch points, including social media;
  • Creative problem-solving capabilities.
