Senior Director, Corporate Development Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Director, Corporate Development to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead diligence processes with leaders of Coupa functional areas;
- Manage relationships and processes with target companies and external parties (e.g., bankers, VCs);
- Drive deal process from inception to close as Coupa lead point of contact;
- Analyze trends in the BSM space;
- Develop new acquisition ideas to help drive Coupas strategic objectives;
- Develop business plans for acquisitions and strategic investments (e.g., business case, value drivers, cross-functional synergies);
- Coordinate new market development including new verticals.
Requirements:
- Strong drive and work ethic and ability to meet deadlines and thrive working in a challenging fast paced environment;
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of success and a deep knowledge of influencers in the software space;
- MBA or strong finance background preferred;
- Highly organized to manage multiple complex processes;
- Strategic thinker and capabile of creating and presenting Board level materials to senior executives and board members;
- Incredible intellectual curiosity to dig into markets, find trends and identify new categories and areas for inorganic growth;
- SaaS operating experience a plus;
- Self-starter;
