Senior Facilities Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Facilities Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Commitment to safety excellence, demonstrates behaviors that drive safety;
- Assists the Facilities Director in talent succession planning;
- Minimize commercial risk to the business;
- Orders consumables, maintains and uses capital equipment efficiently;
- Ensure customer focus within all areas of operational activities and maintenance of effective relationships with key client contacts;
- Ensure that facility management staff consistently provides positive and prompt response to requests from the client and building tenants/occupants;
- Lead and implement all environmental programs and initiatives as well as audits;
- Develop financial plans and specific goals for cost control/reduction and ensure that these goals are met or exceeded;
- Manages a team consisting of Facility Managers, HVAC Technicians, mechanics and helpers;
- Develop and maintain relationships with facility team leaders driving the operational and strategic goals;
- Develop, prepare and explain the annual facility budget, quarterly forecasts, and business plans;
- Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across the portfolio to balance coverage and performance needs with the delivery of service excellence;
- Drives a positive work environment and utilize effective communication skills;
- Ensure SLAs & KPIs are achieved and aligned with contractual agreements;
- Establishes and maintains effective communications with our customer, tenants and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Strong discipline of financial management including financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement, experience leading operational transformation;
- Clean-room experience;
- At least five years of experience in a facilities and/or maintenance leadership role in a fast paced, manufacturing environment;
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Facility Management;
- Working knowledge of facility related Electrical and Mechanical systems;
- (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) designation preferred;
- Ability to develop and maintain a client focused, partnering and consultative approach;
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications , blueprints, and single line diagrams;
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Association (FMA), Certified Property Manager;
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints;
- Planning: The ability to set priorities, plan, and coordinate work activities;
- In-depth understanding of the client’s objectives as well as a broad knowledge of the real estate life cycle;
- Proven ability to manage client relationships;
- Client Relations: The ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients and potential clients and establish long-term relationships.
