Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with stakeholders across functional and organizational lines;
  • Must be able to bring new ideas to the HR department within an organization that serves at least 500+ FTEs;
  • Possess and maintain a valid California driver license;
  • Extensive knowledge of all federal, state, and local employment and workers’ compensation laws;
  • Master’s degree in human resources organizational development preferred;
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic work environment;
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices;
  • Flexible team player; willing to step in and support team within the department and cross-functionally based on operational demands;
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to influence leaders across the organization;
  • Proficient in Google Apps, Microsoft Office and HRIS HRB/Portal Administration;
  • High quality verbal, written and presentation communication skills;
  • Be comfortable with 35-50% travel (mostly same day travel within LA County);
  • Experience working in a charter management organization and/or multi-site company preferred.
