Senior Sales Account Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Sales Account Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Attain monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals for new software licenses, and professional services;
- Gain access to and influence the appropriate decision makers in managing sales opportunities;
- Document and report sales activities using CRM tool (Salesforce);
- Prioritize and qualify leads generated by the selling team, marketing, and sales support;
- Develop relationships across the aerospace customer divisions;
- Collaborate closely with the account team, application engineering, and marketing;
- Develop and manage a funnel of sales opportunities and activities;
- Generate new business by phone, customer visits, and events;
- Prospect for new business opportunities within the sales territory;
- Prepare required sales documentation (e.g. trip reports, proposals, and territory plans);
- Expand MathWorks market presence and reputation within the territory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field;
- Experience balancing volume and strategic sales;
- Demonstrated success selling large enterprise opportunities, managing complex sales cycles and selling to business and technical executives;
- Experience working with application engineers and sales support resources;
- Demonstrated success managing a sales territory and using a CRM system;
- Prefer 6+ years’ experience inhigh tech sales;
- A bachelor’s degree and 12 years of professional work experience is required;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge and experience with the Aerospace & Defense industry;
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or mathematics;
- Successful track record in complex software solutions sales;
- A bachelor’s degree and 3 years of professional work experience is required.
