Strategic Communications Specialist Job Description Template

Responsibilities:
- Sets goals for campaigns, as well as tracks, measures, and summarizes their effectiveness;
- Develops marketing communications plans in collaboration with supervisors, product management, business development, and regional business units;
- Develops content plans and brainstorms creative tactics to support strategies;
- Works with subject-matter experts to create copy and visuals that simply explain complex ideas;
- Builds strong partnerships with Creative Services, Editorial teams, and outside vendors to execute content;
- Applies knowledge of customer challenges and unique differentiators to develop content;
- Executes content for various channels (e.g., web, print, social) to pique customers’ interest and guide them through complex B2B buying;

Requirements:
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint;
- Experience in proofing and editing speeches, white papers, business reviews, and other communications for internal and external use;
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy;
- 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, and marketing experience;
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Technical Writing, English, or a related field;
